McCann Appoints James Bagan Strategy Director

We're delighted to announce that top strategy expert James Bagan has been appointed Strategy Director to lead our strategic planning activity across a range of industries and sectors, further driving growth for McCann Birmingham clients and our strategy and research offering. James joins from VCCP, where he was a Senior Planner.

James is returning to his Birmingham roots, having joined McCann Birmingham’s research and planning team led by Board Strategy Director Mark Broughton-Foxall. He brings over 14 years of experience across a variety of brands including, Compare the Market, Domino’s, VOLT from O2 and Virgin Media, easyJet and Asda. Bagan also gained extensive experience as Brand & Communications Manager at Nestlé for brands including KitKat, Nespresso, and Buxton Water.

James, who started at the agency in October, said: “I’m thrilled to have joined an agency that I’ve admired for a long time. The calibre of talent, the quality of work, and the level of thinking at McCann Birmingham are inspiring and above all, everyone’s been incredibly welcoming! It’s an exciting place to be.”
