Chupa Chups offers up a 'CreepaChups' treat
Published on 31st October 2024Chupa Chups, the world’s number one lollipop brand, has worked with McCann Content Studios Birmingham to mark Halloween with a spooky social campaign.
The campaign builds on Chupa Chups’ ‘Forever Fun’ brand platform and gets into the Halloween spirit with popular ‘jump scares’ within in-feed content and influencer collaborations. This includes a custom ‘Creepachups’ mural created by Hatch Art, alongside content by influencers from the comedy and art worlds, such as Cole Anderson, Joe Carmichael, and Cam Createz.
The Halloween campaign’s content suite is running across TikTok and Instagram, featuring the Chupa Chups Halloween brand characters, ‘The Creeps’. The work, developed by the McCann Content Studios team in Birmingham, marks one of the brand's key sales periods, and builds on customer insights around creepy treats.
Victoria Gibson, Junior Brand Manager at Perfetti Van Melle, said: “What’s more fun than a Halloween surprise? Staying true to our brand, we wanted to have some fun and get creative whilst ensuring we’re front of mind when consumers think of Halloween.
“Working with a mixture of influencers and creating a suite of social assets that grab our target audience’s attention has been a treat. We’re sure Chupa Chups fans will think so too!”
Joe Cronin, Managing Partner at McCann Content Studios Birmingham, added: “This ‘Creepachups’ campaign taps into learnings from years of working with Chupa Chups, bringing together the perfect mix of content, influencers, and – most importantly – fun.”
