McCann has strengthened its commitment to supporting career development, inclusion and diversity across its business through the creation of two new roles.
McCann Central’s Sufia Parkar has been promoted to European and UK regional director, diversity and engagement, for McCann Worldgroup. Additionally, Rebecca Philbin joins McCann Central as talent development manager.
In her new position, Sufia will support the continued mission to drive diversity and engagement initiatives around Europe for the Agency, its employees and its clients.
Sufia worked for over 13 years at McCann Central, 10 of those in business development before making a career change, moving into HR and subsequently progressing to Head of Talent.
John Sanders, Chief Operating Officer at McCann Central commented: “We are delighted for Sufia and also pleased to have been able to support her professional journey. Her appointment to such an integral role for the wider business is testament to her passion and commitment to culture, inclusion and diversity she showed in her time at McCann Central.
"As a business committed to the learning and development of our employees, and one with our scale and breadth of offer, we’re proud of the career development and mobility opportunities that we are able to provide to our staff.”
Rebecca Philbin’s appointment as talent development manager will see her create and deliver further strategies to help employees fulfil their potential. Rebecca brings a wealth of experience, especially with four years at Dentsu Aegis giving her a fantastic insight into the needs of agencies and their people.
John Sanders added: “When people feel fulfilled and supported in their own career development, we’re not only able to retain great people but also attract new talent – both of which help us to continue to produce the great work we’re known for.
“Rebecca’s appointment is key to this and she will help create innovative initiatives as well as work along existing partners to ensure that everyone has access to the appropriate learning and development to support their journey.”
