McCann Unlocks the World of Advertising for Local Students
Published on 13th February 2018Today (13th February), we have once more thrown open our doors to help inspire the next generation of budding advertising creatives.
We welcomed students from the University of Wolverhampton to ‘Advertising Unlocked’ – an interactive day which allows students to meet with current employees and gain a better understanding of the advertising industry and potential roles they can consider as part of their career planning. The students were also presented with a live creative brief to work on during their visit with the opportunity to present their original ideas to some of McCann’s senior management.
‘Advertising Unlocked’ is an industry initiative that invites students to look behind the scenes of how an advertising agency operates and enables us to engage with young talent so that they have a better understanding of the job opportunities in a creative industry.
John Sanders, Chief Operations Officer, says: “For us to create the largest possible talent pool, it is really important that we build awareness amongst potential employees that there are fantastic opportunities to work for a global communications agency outside of London and that we offer careers in an incredibly wide range of areas. We need to draw on as many resources as possible and that is why ‘Advertising Unlocked’ is an ongoing programme as we try to interact with local schools, colleges and universities.”
With offices in Birmingham, Milton Keynes and Bristol, employing over 400 people, we are now the largest integrated agency outside of London and are always looking out for great people to join us!
