Vauxhall Backward stories

Going backwards doesn’t always work out for the best. Luckily, drivers of the new Vauxhall Astra have a reversing camera to ensure things go as planned.

To highlight this feature, we told familiar stories in a very unfamiliar way: backwards.

With beautiful animation and sound design, famous fairy tales including 'Cinderella' and 'Jack and the Beanstalk' were used to show that when you go backwards (like reversing a car without a camera) things don’t always work out for the best.

The films may not have had happy endings, but the campaign did. The radio ads won a coveted Cannes Lion, as well as a Clio.
